Refund & Donation Policy
Effective Date: August 7, 2026
Organization: Enduring Steps
Enduring Steps depends on charitable support to advance its mission. This policy explains how we handle donations, recurring gifts, payment errors, event registrations, and related refund requests.
1. Charitable Donations
Unless otherwise required by law or stated in a specific campaign, donations to Enduring Steps are generally final and non-refundable because charitable funds may be committed to mission-related activities after receipt.
We recognize that payment mistakes can occur. If you believe a donation was made in error, entered in the wrong amount, charged more than once, or processed without authorization, contact us promptly at info@enduringsteps.org. We request that refund inquiries be submitted within 30 calendar days of the transaction when reasonably possible. We will review the circumstances and, when we confirm an administrative or processing error or otherwise determine that a refund is appropriate, issue the refund to the original payment method when practicable.
Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
2. Recurring Gifts
A donor may request modification or cancellation of a recurring contribution by contacting info@enduringsteps.org or by using any cancellation tools made available by the applicable payment processor. To help prevent an additional scheduled charge, please submit a cancellation request as early as reasonably possible before the next scheduled processing date.
Cancellation stops future charges after the request has been processed; it does not automatically refund contributions already processed. If a charge occurs while a cancellation request is being processed, contact us and we will review the circumstances.
3. Tax Acknowledgments and Deductibility
Enduring Steps will provide donation acknowledgments or receipts as required or appropriate under applicable law. A receipt or acknowledgment from Enduring Steps is not tax, accounting, or legal advice and does not by itself establish that a payment is deductible.
The deductibility of any contribution depends on applicable law and the donor's individual circumstances, including whether goods or services were provided in exchange for a payment. Donors should consult their own qualified tax advisers regarding deductibility.
4. Events, Registrations, Tickets, and Goods
Unless a particular event or offer states otherwise, event registration fees and ticket purchases are non-refundable except when Enduring Steps cancels the event or when a refund is otherwise required by law.
If Enduring Steps cancels an event, we will communicate the available remedy, which may include a refund, rescheduling, credit, or an opportunity to voluntarily donate an eligible amount, depending on the circumstances.
A payment associated with an event, ticket, or goods will be treated as a charitable contribution only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where required, Enduring Steps will provide information concerning the value of goods or services furnished in exchange for a payment.
5. Restricted or Designated Gifts
Enduring Steps will make reasonable efforts to honor accepted donor restrictions or designations consistent with applicable law and organizational policies. We reserve the right to decline a proposed restricted gift before acceptance. If a restriction becomes unlawful, impossible, impracticable, or inconsistent with charitable requirements, the organization will address the funds in accordance with applicable law.
6. Suspected Fraud and Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe your payment method was used without authorization, contact both your financial institution or payment provider and Enduring Steps promptly. We may request information reasonably necessary to investigate the transaction and prevent fraud.
7. Policy Changes
We may revise this policy from time to time. Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise. The effective date above identifies the current version.
